In just a short time, KATSEYE has transformed from a groundbreaking global girl-group experiment into one of pop music’s most talked-about new acts. Now, with their third EP, “WILD,” the group enters a new chapter—one built around freedom, self-discovery, confidence and an increasingly distinctive sound.
Released on August 14, 2026, through HYBE x Geffen Records, WILD follows the group's 2025 project Beautiful Chaos and pushes their pop identity into a more energetic and unpredictable direction. The project is described by KATSEYE as an evolution beyond the “beautiful chaos” of their previous era, embracing something more euphoric, open and untamed.
From Dream Academy to Global Pop
KATSEYE was formed through the 2023 competition series The Debut: Dream Academy, a global project created through the HYBE and Geffen partnership. Their rise has been unusually international, combining the performance discipline associated with K-pop with contemporary Western pop, electronic influences and internet-driven culture.
Songs such as “Touch,” “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” helped establish the group's identity, while their growing festival presence and worldwide fanbase have taken KATSEYE far beyond their original audition-show origins.
What Makes “WILD” Different?
The new EP represents a more liberated side of KATSEYE. Rather than presenting a single fixed image, WILD explores different personalities, moods and styles.
The project features tracks including “PINKY UP,” “Animal,” “Hootie Frutti,” “Bel Air” and “That Way,” with “Unloveu” appearing as a bonus track on some editions.
“PINKY UP” immediately established the project's playful and unpredictable energy, while the rest of the EP expands that world with glossy pop production, electronic textures and different shades of the group's personality.
More Than Music
The WILD era also arrives alongside “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” a documentary that gives audiences a closer look at the group's rapid rise, the pressure of international fame and the personal experiences behind their public image.
The documentary provides a more intimate perspective on the members and their journey, showing that behind the polished performances and viral moments are young artists navigating ambition, expectations and the realities of becoming global stars.
The Beginning of a Bigger Chapter
With WILD, KATSEYE is no longer simply introducing itself to the world. The group is beginning to define what its own version of global pop can sound and look like.
